G4-G8 Reading & Writing Club

Build strong literacy foundations and long-term academic confidence with Magic Sesame’s Reading & Writing Club for Grades 4–8. Designed to strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, analytical thinking, grammar, and structured writing, our program supports students as they transition from elementary to middle school and prepares them for future academic success.

We offer small-group classes (3–8 students) and personalized 1-on-1 packages, ensuring every learner receives the right balance of instruction, practice, and feedback.

What Students Learn

Our structured curriculum progresses across Grades 4–8, covering key literacy skills:

  • Reading Comprehension: fiction & nonfiction analysis, inference skills, main idea & details

  • Vocabulary Development: academic words, contextual meaning, word families

  • Writing Foundations: paragraph writing, logical sequencing, grammar & sentence craft

  • Intermediate Writing: narrative, descriptive, and opinion writing

  • Advanced Writing (G7–8): multi-paragraph essays, text-based responses, argument structures

  • Critical Thinking: annotation, evidence selection, idea expansion
