Refund & Withdrawal Policy

1. Course Enrollment Refund Policy

(Applicable to group classes and one-on-one courses unless otherwise stated)

1.1 Withdrawal Before Course Start

  • If written notice of withdrawal is received at least fourteen (14) days prior to the course start date (including the 14th day), students are eligible for a full refund.

  • Alternatively, students may choose to convert the remaining balance into a credit, which may be applied toward any future course, tutoring program, or camp offered by Magic Sesame Learning Community.

1.2 Withdrawal Within 13 Days Before Course Start or After Course Has Begun

This section applies to withdrawals made within thirteen (13) days prior to the course start date (including the 13th day), as well as withdrawals made after the course has begun.

  • If written notice of withdrawal is received within twenty-four (24) hours after the completion of the first official class session (trial classes or free auditions are not considered official class sessions), students are eligible for a 50% refund of the total course fee.

  • After this 24-hour period, no refund will be issued.

  • As an alternative to a refund, students may choose to have the unused portion of the course fee converted into credit, after deducting the cost of any completed classes, and apply the remaining balance toward any future course or camp program offered by Magic Sesame Learning Community.

1.3 Missed Classes After Enrollment

  • Once a course has started, missed classes due to personal reasons will not be refunded.

  • For eligible courses, students may access class recordings or replays when available. Access to recordings does not constitute grounds for refunds,  partial refunds or credits.

2. Camp Program Refund Policy

2.1 Withdrawal Before Camp Start Date

  • If written notice of withdrawal is received at least fourteen (14) days prior to the camp start date (including the 14th day), students are eligible for a full refund, or may choose to convert the balance into credit usable for any future course or camp.

  • If written notice is received seven (7) to thirteen (13) days prior to the camp start date (including the 7th day), students are eligible for a 50% refund, or may choose to convert the remaining balance into credit usable for future programs.

  • If written notice is received one (1) to six (6) days prior to the camp start date (including the 6th day), students are eligible for a 20% refund only, or may choose to convert the remaining balance into credit usable for future programs.

2.2 Withdrawal On or After Camp Start Date

  • No refunds will be issued for any withdrawal on or after the camp start date.

  • Remaining fees cannot be converted into credits for future programs.

  • As a courtesy, students who withdraw after camp start may receive a 10% discount on future course or camp registrations.

2.3 Missed Camp Activities

  • No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for missed camp activities, sessions, or days, regardless of reason.

3. Applicability to Late / Mid-Term Enrollments

The refund and withdrawal policies outlined above apply equally to students who enroll late / mid-term (late entry students).

Mid-term enrollment does not constitute a different service category and does not create separate refund eligibility.

By enrolling mid-term, students and parents acknowledge that:

  • Tuition fees are charged at the same rate as students who enroll at the beginning of the course; and

  • Access to class recordings, supplementary materials, and academic support provided for missed sessions constitutes fulfillment of instructional obligations for previously delivered classes.

4. General Notes

  • The refund and withdrawal policies outlined above do not apply to any form of supervision-based services, including but not limited to:

    • Reading Supervision Programs

    • Academic Supervision or Mentorship Services

  • Study Supervision, Learning Supervision, or Similar Ongoing Support Services

  • All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via email or official communication channels.

  • Refunds, credits, and eligibility determinations are based on the date and time the written notice is received.

  • Credits issued are non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and subject to expiration policies as determined by Magic Sesame Learning Community.

  • Magic Sesame Learning Community reserves the right of final interpretation of this policy.

5. Digital or Downloadable Products

Digital products (e.g., online modules, PDF materials, recordings) are non-refundable once purchased or accessed.

6. Course Cancellation by Institution

If Magic Sesame cancels a course for any reason, students will receive a full refund or credit toward a future program.
