Course Description

Why Learn French at the A2 Level? After completing A1 or gaining basic French knowledge, A2 is the stage where students start using French in real situations—not just memorizing vocabulary. A2 enables learners to: • Communicate in everyday contexts with greater accuracy • Understand longer sentences, descriptions, and instructions • Prepare for future academic success (French credits are valued in Canadian schools) • Strengthen competitive advantage for immigration and careers • Build the foundation needed to reach B-level fluency Course Goals By the end of A2, students will be able to: • Hold conversations on familiar topics (school, travel, daily life) • Describe events, experiences, and basic opinions • Read short texts and understand key information • Write simple paragraphs with correct structure • Improve pronunciation and listening comprehension • Strengthen grammar accuracy and vocabulary depth Course Modules (20 Hours) Module 1 — Daily Life & Social Interaction • Routine activities · Invitations · Planning outings · Expressing preferences Module 2 — Travel, Directions & Public Services • Using transportation · Asking for/giving directions · Using community services Module 3 — Health, Food & Lifestyle • Describing symptoms · Making appointments · Ordering food · Healthy habits Module 4 — School, Work & Simple Discussions • School subjects · Career vocabulary · Expressing opinions and agreements Module 5 — Past Tense Mastery • Passé composé · Imparfait (introduction) · Storytelling basics Module 6 — Reading & Writing Skills • Short texts · Emails · Messages · Simple descriptions and narratives Module 7 — Communication & Fluency Drills • Role-plays · Listening labs · Pronunciation practice Class Format • Small Class Size: 3–8 students • 20 hours total (1 hour/week × 20 weeks) • Online or in-person • Weekday or weekend rolling enrollment • Taught by instructors with 10+ years of experience Tuition • $399 for the full A2 program
