Course Description

MTH1W – Grade 9 De-streamed Mathematics is a crucial foundation course in the Ontario curriculum. It sets the stage for students’ success throughout high school and prepares them for the university-pathway sequence: • Grade 10 Academic Math (MPM2D) • Grade 11 Functions (MCR3U) • Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) • Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U) Magic Sesame’s Spring 2026 MTH1W program is ideal for students who want to: • Strengthen core math skills (number sense, algebra, linear relations, geometry) • Build confidence and transition smoothly into senior high school math • Improve school test scores and final grades • Develop logical reasoning and problem-solving • Adapt to the Ontario curriculum • Lay a strong foundation for the university-track math pathway Course Modules (Modular Design – Join Anytime) The course is divided into 5 independent yet connected modules. Students joining mid-term receive a Catch-Up Package including notes, homework, and teacher-guided review.
